Killed in Action: 5 May 2004 (aged 21) in Karbala, Iraq
Buried: Saint Peters Cemetery Canton, Ohio
SPC Jesse Buryj died of injuries he sustained when the checkpoint he was manning near Karbala Iraq came under attack. His vehicle was rammed by a dump truck after he engaged and killed the driver of the truck.
